ORANGE RIVER
GUIDED PADDLE BOARD AND CLEAR KAYAK TOURS
ABOUT THE TOUR
The Orange River is a feeding river winding roughly 13-miles total upstream from the Caloosahatchee River and is a top destination for seeing manatees in Southwest Florida! Throughout the cooler months, hundreds of manatees will flock here because of the warm water discharges from the local power plant at Manatee Park. Due to this and its "Old Florida" feel, the Orange River is a true local treasure that many miss out on. It is located within 20-minutes from Downtown Fort Myers and less than 1-hour from Fort Myers Beach.
Throughout your tour, we will launch from Manatee Park where our tour guides will lead you through a mangrove tunnel and out onto the Orange River to see the manatees. Our local guides have great knowledge of the river and know exactly where some of the hot spots are for these incredible gentle giants and other wildlife. Depending on weather conditons, this tour is typically a very calm, and easy paddle out to the see the manatees, and a short paddle back to the launch site in Manatee Park. Keep an eye out for wildlife at all times. You never know when you might see a manatee, dolphins, coastal birds, turtles, gators, fish or something else! Whether you're a beginner or an expert paddler, our tours are suitable for all skill levels and provides an unforgettable experience.
Don't forget we also offer photo packages for you and your group. Our tour guides are excellent photographers as well if you don't want to take your own.
