ABOUT THE TOUR

The Estero River is the paradise you may have never heard of between Naples and Fort Myers in Southwest Florida and has two very unique features. The mouth of the Estero River flows out from Estero Bay and into Koreshan State Park where the water transitions from saltwater to freshwater. Due to this, the farther upstream you paddle, the clearer the water gets. The river also boasts incredible views, loads of state history, and is lined with a BAMBOO FOREST throughout the state park which is the only place that you can find something like this throughout all of Florida! All of the foliage and trees provide a well-shaded canopy throughout most of your journey making it a great trip for those looking for a relaxing outdoor adventure. This tour includes an easy paddle upstream with a relaxing float back to the launch site. We will make a few stops along the way where guests can take a break, enjoy their surroundings, and to learn about some of the history. The Estero River also has a few deeper areas (4-6ft deep), shallower areas for wading or relaxing, and a year round temperature of about 65-70 degrees. If you wanted to jump in for a swim we highly recommend it! Our tour guides will take you on an adventure through one of the most picturesque locations of Lee County's Great Calusa Blueway and all of Southwest Florida where you will have the chance to encounter birds, turtles, otters, fish, dolphins, gators, manatees, crustaceans and other forms of wildlife, as well as a unique perspective of the underwater world if you choose to use one of our clear kayaks (once available). Whether you're a beginner or an expert paddler, our tours are suitable for all skill levels and provides an unforgettable experience. Don't forget we also offer photo packages for you and your group. Our tour guides are excellent photographers as well if you don't want to take your own.
